Jean-Michel Lavarenne
Jean-Michel started working on the web building online stores in the early days of ecommerce for Montréal game stores. He started his Drupal consulting practice in 2006 using that platform to build sites for NGOs, entrepreneurs and Montreal based agencies. In 2018 he incorporated Monarq with the objective of bringing together the people he worked with over the years so they could enjoy doing their best work together. He completed a certificate in permaculture desing in 2021. He is a musician and studies languages as a hobby; currently Spanish, Latin and German.

João is a Drupal developer with great interest in AI, Machine Learning and Game Development with a penchant for the C++ language. He has been working with Drupal since 2011. He first collaborated with JM in 2015 when they worked on a project for theeconomist.com on behalf of a Canadian agency. Since then their collaboration has grown to the point where they work on all projects together. When it comes to software development, João can do absolutely everything.

Rodrigo is a Drupal developer who has a strong interest in coding and gaming, as well as having a deep affection to anything that touches nature and the environment. He first started coding in 2013 and has since then joined the ranks of Monarq in 2022. His first project with the team was to develop the front-end of a carbon calculator used to evaluate the carbon footprint of tourists coming to Montreal, on behalf of Tourisme Montreal. Rodrigo is a reliable and hard-working developer on which the team can count on for any given project.

Charles is a web project manager who majored in business administration, specializing in finance and business analysis in the information technology environment. He started with Monarq over the summer of 2022 for an internship and worked alongside JM who helped him refine his managing skills. He first started working on projects for Tourisme Montreal (mtl.org) and has since then worked on various other projects as well as giving client support.

Bruna Krummenauer
Bruna is the artistic director of Monarq since December of 2022. She holds a bachelor's degree in Advertising and Marketing and has been working in the communications sector for 11 years, learning a lot wherever she goes. A mother of two cats, she is a lover of fantasy literature and passionate about Japanese culture and art in all its forms. She believes wholeheartedly that good communication is the way to a better world.

Adriano Pulz

Adriano Pulz
Adriano is a full-stack developer with a degree in Information Systems who has over 16 years of experience with web development and more than 10 years with Drupal and PHP. He first started collaborating with JM in 2018. As a Drupal developer, he has experience with creating custom modules and themes, configuring contributed modules and migrating old Drupal sites. As a front-end developer, he has technical competence in developing responsive layouts and using tools like Twig, Sass, CSS, jQuery and others.

Guilherme Lopes
Guilherme is a software engineer passionate about web development. While he has a vast understanding of Drupal, as well as tremendous Javascript and PHP experience, he also has worked a lot with the Go programming language. He also is a Linux expert. He first started working with Monarq in 2018.

Camilo Bravo

Camilo Bravo
Camilo has been working with Drupal since 2011, and as a developer since 2002. His expertise has grown to encompass mobile application development as well as the Go programming language. He first started working with JM by collaborating on a project for the Red Cross, a collaboration that has been ongoing since 2014. One of his recent projects of note is the Human Rights workshops dissemination platform facilitar.io.

Éric Giovanneti
Éric is a front-end developer and web accessibility expert. He first collaborated with JM in 2012 when they worked together on the Montreal public transit system site (stm.info) on behalf of a Montreal agency. He then went on to found his own agency, and has since been a regular partner on Monarq projects. You can find out more about Éric on giov.io

Adding to the core team is a network of long-time, trusted collaborators that can be rapidly called on to contribute to projects. Monarq regularly provides teams of 4 to 6 experts to complete various mandates.
